Mobile Photo Lab™ is seeking five youth participants from Portsmouth, Virginia to serve on the Youth Peace Week Media Team. This team will help document Peace Week 2026 through photography, video, interviews, and positive community storytelling.
Participants will work in a shared-equipment model using standardized mobile media kits. Team members will work in two-person crews with a rotating producer role to help capture, organize, and upload content for Good News Portsmouth, Portsmouth Buzz, and related community media platforms.
This opportunity is designed to give youth practical, real-world experience in media production, teamwork, professionalism, and community-based storytelling.

Mobile Photo Lab™ Youth Peace Week Media Team
Parent and Youth Participation, Transportation, Equipment, Media Release, and Acknowledgment Agreement
This Agreement is entered into by and between Mobile Photo Lab™ (“MPL”), the undersigned parent or legal guardian, and the undersigned youth participant.
The youth participant, who is a resident of Portsmouth, Virginia, has permission to participate in the Mobile Photo Lab™ Youth Peace Week Media Team and related training sessions, meetings, transportation, event coverage, and media production activities connected to Portsmouth Peace Week 2026 and related community programming.
The parent or legal guardian gives permission for Mobile Photo Lab™, its owner, employees, contractors, volunteers, representatives, and approved drivers to transport the youth participant to and from approved program-related activities, event sites, meetings, training sessions, and other related destinations.
The parent or legal guardian understands that transportation may occur in a business, personal, rented, or otherwise authorized vehicle used for approved program purposes.
The parent or legal guardian understands that participation in community events, transportation, media production, and related activities may involve risks, including but not limited to:
transportation-related risks
slips, falls, or other accidental injury
equipment-related issues
interactions in public spaces
ordinary risks associated with travel to and from event locations
The parent or legal guardian voluntarily accepts these risks on behalf of the youth participant.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the parent or legal guardian, on behalf of the youth participant and their heirs, assigns, and representatives, releases and holds harmless Mobile Photo Lab™, its owner, employees, contractors, volunteers, representatives, sponsors, partners, and affiliated persons from any and all claims, demands, damages, liabilities, costs, expenses, injuries, losses, or causes of action arising out of or related to participation in the program, transportation to or from program-related activities, or use of program equipment, except in cases of willful misconduct or gross negligence where such release is not permitted by law.
If the parent or guardian cannot be reached in an emergency, I authorize Mobile Photo Lab™ and its representatives to seek emergency medical treatment for my child if reasonably necessary. I understand that I am financially responsible for any medical treatment provided.
Health concerns, allergies, or medical conditions MPL should know about:
The youth participant understands that all phones, creator kits, microphones, lights, tripods, and related gear are the property of Mobile Photo Lab™ unless otherwise stated.
The youth participant agrees to:
use equipment only for approved program purposes
handle equipment carefully
return equipment at the end of each shift unless otherwise instructed
report damage, loss, or malfunction immediately
avoid personal use unless expressly approved
The parent or guardian understands that MPL may choose to hold participants accountable for intentional misuse, reckless damage, theft, or failure to return issued equipment.
The parent or guardian grants permission for Mobile Photo Lab™ to photograph, film, videotape, audio record, and otherwise capture the youth participant’s image, likeness, voice, name, statements, and participation during training sessions, transportation, meetings, community events, and other program-related activities.
The parent or guardian and youth participant understand and agree that these photos, videos, audio recordings, and other media may be used by Mobile Photo Lab™ for lawful business, educational, documentary, editorial, community, promotional, and marketing purposes, including but not limited to:
social media posts
websites
flyers and printed materials
recap videos
news and press features
sponsor presentations
grant applications and reports
future promotional or educational materials

The parent or guardian understands that this consent is voluntary but is being granted without expectation of payment, royalties, or additional compensation.
The parent or guardian further releases and holds harmless Mobile Photo Lab™ from claims related to the lawful use, publication, display, reproduction, editing, or distribution of such media, except where prohibited by law.
The youth participant agrees to:
act respectfully and professionally
follow instructions from MPL leadership
work cooperatively with others
avoid unsafe behavior
avoid posting unapproved media
represent the program positively in public
The parent or guardian understands that failure to follow conduct expectations may lead to suspension or removal from the program.
The parent or guardian understands that participation in this program does not guarantee future employment, paid work, or ongoing assignment opportunities with Mobile Photo Lab™.
By signing below, the youth participant confirm that they have read this Agreement, understand its contents, and voluntarily agree to its terms.
